I am trained in many therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness & holistic approaches, parent and child psychotherapy, and play therapy. My approach is attachment-based and applies principals of trauma-informed care.

Sometimes little people are overwhelmed by big feelings. Therapy can help children express and process feelings while learning new skills, improving self confidence, and learning self regulation.

Preteens & Teens

Being a teenager in today’s world can be difficult for your child and for you as their parent. Therapy may be helpful as a safe place to talk and learn ways to cope with life’s many stressors.

Parent Support

Becoming a parent is one of the most joyous parts of life, but also one of the most difficult. I love working with parents to be a listening ear and problem solve concrete strategies to use at home to address challenges.

Adults

It can feel very challenging to reach out for help as an adult. I’m here to listen, understand, and empower you as you work towards growth and healing. This is a non-judgmental space for you to share your story and gain insight into your life.

What To Expect

Reaching out to a therapist is not easy. Regardless of the reason, calling a stranger to ask for help for you or your child can feel intimidating and at times, scary. I would like to take a moment to reassure you that the first step is often the hardest, but it does get easier from here.

Intake

Thereapy begins with the intake process. During our first meeting, I will ask many questions about different areas of your life to explore the reason your seeking therapy, begin developing a therapeutic relationship, and develop recommendations for treatment.

IInitial Session

After intake, I will review my recommendations. If I believe my services will be helpful, we will schedule regular therapy sessions at my office or through video, called telehealth. During our first session, we will explore your hopes for therapy and set goals for our work together!
